since the holiday season (namely new years eve) is such a large and emotional time of the year, my memory clicks into "remember every detail" mode and i become a living breathing recording machine for everything that happens to me. this results in november-december being the most remembered and most fond time to recall, yearly, every year. so, since holidays 09 is just around the corner my mind automatically rewinds to the exact same time last year and compares the two. i hate it when that happens usually because i'm always left with an unsatisfied feeling but this year all i feel is the difference, and the different person i have grown into
so reading peoples' christmas wishlists, i thought i would make my own, and i'd love to hear you guys' too
1. for my best friend to NOT be leaving me for three years because the feeling of missing someone is the worst in the world
2. to meet new people. constantly having new personalities in my life is an addiction
3. smile more
4. better myself as an artist. better being an understatement
5. better myself as a person, this is more of a priority than the above
6. eat healthier. and when i mean healthier i mean up my BMI healthier. i took one of those dollar weight/height measuring things today and it was 16. i'm scared of osteoporosis or infertility and looking like a bag of bones = yuck, and i know it's not really my diet because i eat fried food like crazy and i can't change genetics but i will most definitely try
7. i want my family to be healthy. i don't know why this is 7 on my list because it's one of the things i want most, i never really appreciated health as much as i do now
8. to somehow grow some determination/willpower to power through year thirteen next year. it's my final year of high school and so obviously my grades count for uni. so i'm really keen to make up for the crapness that was my report this year
9. a new wardrobe. it needs revamping
10. i think i need a haircut as well
(it started to sound like my new years' resolution list so i decided to chuck in a few material things)
i hope you guys have a wonderful wonderful holiday season. if you don't celebrate it, enjoy the sales that are boxing day shopping sprees! i can't wait. and at this time of year regather your priorities and i know this will sound weird but try and appreciate what you have more. namely your families and your support systems, and use the christmas time to really appreciate all they've done for you this year. you guys all have so much in your lives and you're all really blessed, and even though i'm not a big fan of the commercial pile of crap christmas has become, i do love it for the spirit everyone seems to adopt

bless you all!
